Jean-Marc Desmarais
Vice President

After finishing high school, Jean-Marc was hired at a very young food company to work as a building maintenance worker from 1975 to 1982. During his last two years in the company, he took evening courses in industrial mechanics at the Center de études collégiales (CEC) in Montreal, followed by adult courses as a field mechanic on weekends.

After studying electrical engineering at the Collège de Joliette in 1983, he was recruited by various companies as a fixed machine operator.

From 1993 to 1995, Jean-Marc returned to the Higher Institute of Electronics for intensive college training in robotics for a total of 1,700 hours. This teaching was offered under the tutelage of the Quebec Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Jean-Marc was so passionate that he finished first of his class.

In 1999, he contributed to the development of Pilium Inc. (founded by Jean-Pierre) which led him to an irrevocable interest in new renewable energy technologies. He has worked from 2001 to the present day as a building maintenance technician in two national companies in the Greater Montreal area.

Jean-Marc is currently applying his knowledge to the growth of Homerizon Inc., which he co-founded on October 6, 2008 with his brother.
