Jean-Marc Desmarais
Vice President

After his high school education, Jean-Marc was hired at a young age by a well-known food company, where he worked as a building maintenance worker from 1975 to 1982. During his last two years with the company, he completed some industrial mechanics classes at the Centre d’études collégiales (CEC) de Montréal, followed by millwright classes for adults on the week-end.

After studying Electrical Engineering at the Collège de Joliette in 1983, he was hired by various companies as a stationary machine operator.

From 1993 to 1995, Jean-Marc returned to school at the Institut supérieur d’électronique, where he followed an intensive, 1,700-hour college-level robotics training class. This training is offered by the Quebec Ministry of Advanced Education and Science. Jean-Marc was so enthusiastic about his studies that he finished first in his class.

In 1999, he contributed to the founding of Pilium Inc., which led him to be more and more interested in renewable energy. He has been working since the 2000s as a technician with a national company in the Greater Montreal Area. Jean-Marc is currently putting to use his knowledge to ensure the development of the company he co-founded with his brother, Homerizon Inc.
